What is the most significant thing you have learned so far?
I really don't know anything about maps, so this training has enlightened me to how important GIS is to the world. There are so many interesting mapping tools we have learned in four (4) days of training. Besides learning about mapping, it was interesting learning how to blog, as this is the first for me also; and I thought it would be easy but not really.
Are there any topics about which you are unclear and if so what are they?
It has been a challenge trying to create a map; as this software is not really user friendly. You have to be careful in what you do; but I am glad we don't have to draw a map by hand; like Marlene Flannery said she had to do twenty years ago.
Is there anything in the course that could be done differently, added, to improve your learning experience?
Printing out our map, so we can see it in real world time.
Do you have any other comments?
Joseph is an excellent instructor; gives us one-on-one when needed; and the other participants all have been helpful with each other.
If you need extra help?
Marlene said she is willing to come out here and help participants with mapping when Joseph is not here.
