We started georeferencing the trails yesterday, today we learned how to convert to annotation, labeling the trails, adding the length of the trails, grouping/ungrouping the legend and we also have to acknowledge where we got an image or map that we use on our maps. What I was missing on my map was to explain the Carrier Words, which I now added to my map, for example Ti means road/trail.
We had to move the computers, power bars, books to the Teepee Room this morning, and it is extremely hot in here, we are all perspiring!!! We have to ask Peter to turn the heat down for tomorrow's class.
The map is very detailed and suited to the needs of its users, if one wanted to know the location of all the traditional trails and the lengths. Also, I like how you gave the carrier definition of the trail names.
ReplyDeleteThe map relitively easy to use although it is very busy.
The information is definately accurate and not misrepresented or distorted.
The only issue i have is the colors and symbology seem to confuse me, maybe because there is no background color? i personally like to add bright colors to my maps that stand out to the eye, but some people have issues with that... so its all about personal preferences and what appeals to your eye :D
Good job!
